Comment on: EFF resigns from W3C due to DRM objections: "An open letter to the W3C Director, CEO, team and membership"

the tiered internet begins, officially.

  • first layer, straight fucking ads and fake content (you're too poor to care, and we know you never go beyond page 2 of search results)

  • second layer, straight fucking ads and fake content (you're too poor to care, but you're technically savvy enough to install a basic ad blocker)

  • third layer, straight fucking ads and fake content (still poor, but you taught yourself enough about code to be protected from the shit bangers on the first layer. you dark web sometimes.)

  • fourth layer, social networks are closed and governed by private individuals who are being paid to send you messages and guide your decision making process. neophyte and tv heads can't all be saved.

  • fifth layer, 100% security and honeypot fagots setting you up. you're not as dim as you once were, you got some cash and credibility as an adult, but you've never been arrested. soon tho...

anything else cost money, or you're one of those exclusivity fagots
