Liberals in the West cannot change policy in Saudi Arabia, any more than liberals in Saudi Arabia could change policy in the West. I support giving power to Muslims in the West because they are the most likely to have their civil liberties stripped, to be subjected to indefinite detention without charge, and to be assassinated abroad without due process. I support giving Christians power in the Muslim world because they are the most likely to be killed for their religion, jailed for blasphemy, or be treated as second class citizens. But no one in the Muslim world will listen to me, a Westerner. So I concentrate on those who will listen to me.
