StackOverflow is great, but it's honestly a bit... mean sometimes.
I personally prefer to answer questions on /r/programminghelp to it. Plus you get karma for helping instead of SO rep!

Good point, it's definitely a bit early for splintering it out. My goal is to have 'experts' subscribed in its infancy, and as Voat grows and the subverse is finally needed, there will already be a userbase of awesome people ready to answer questions.
In the meantime I'll hang out here and try to answer any questions that pop up.

I've got tons of Python, JavaScript, CSS experience, along with a splash of Java, PHP, and a spattering of C and C++. I'll be answering whatever I can; I'd love if people with skills I lack could lend a hand.
