Comment on: Where Do I Start to Learn?
https://www.w3schools.com/ Free step by step lessons in the most common programming and scripting languages. I'd suggest starting at Python.

Comment on: Woman sues Reddit for selective blindness to child porn on its platform
Hey, it takes a lot of resources to make sure every conservative opinion is censored and the user banned. You can't expect them to do both that AND keep child porn at bay. Especially when they have a subreddit with users that post it on purpose.

Comment on: China Readies Its First 7nm 'Big Island' GPU To Tackle AMD & NVIDIA
Would you trust a Chinese processor on something important? Would you trust a Chinese riding lawnmower?

Comment on: YouTube Continues to Push 'White Supremacist' Videos, Study Claims
How about we talk about what they consider 'extremist content'. I bet it would surprise a lot of people how mundane the content is that gets that label from them.

Comment on: Elon Musk's SpaceX Starlink internet service now has 10,000 users
I signed up at the start link website a few months ago. Did anyone know how they are living people to beta test? Is it location, or a lottery or whatnot?

Comment on: Government demands for Amazon user data increased by 800% in 2020
It's pretty obvious that the increase is related to Amazon's aquisition of Ring. What police agency wouldn't love going fishing on a camera that people mistakenly think it's secure?

Comment on: Energy Harvesting From Skin Temperature for Battery-Free, Wearable Electronics
Sci-tech daily, like most science 'journalism' today is absolute garbage. It's a neat technology, but it is nowhere near what the article title makes it out to be, and it's impractical on many levels. 1) The substrate is made from silver nano-wires, which means that it will be expensive as hell with no theoretical way to reduce that cost. 2) The amount of power is miniscule. 7 microwatts per cm² when used on human skin. That means a solar calculator that uses .01 watts of power would need over 1400 cm² of the material to run it. Which means basically your entire torso would need to be covered to power the same thing that runs on a 3 cm² solar cell, inside an office.

Comment on: Comcast to impose home internet data cap of 1.2TB in more than a dozen US states next year
The biggest scam was 'local long distance', where, based on the first 3 digits of your phone number, you would be charged rates even higher than long distance to call only a few miles away. The local office companies had a monopoly, so fuck you consumer.

Comment on: Comcast to impose home internet data cap of 1.2TB in more than a dozen US states next year
Is this just happening? I've had a 1Tb cap on my 'unlimited' plan since day 1 three years ago.

Comment on: America’s internet wasn’t prepared for online school
Didn't the government pay bills of dollars over the last few decades to roll out high speed internet to total areas? I know there is a line item in my phone bill for rural service support.

Comment on: It’s Official- NVIDIA Acquires Arm For $40B To Create What Could Be A Computing Juggernaut
Those would be great comments for the record when the antitrust evaluation inevitably occurs.

Comment on: Facebook engineer quits, accuses company of 'profiting off hate' - Business Insider
The guy in the article is complaining that they aren't doing enough to censor right of center viewpoints.
