I have a conspiracy I can’t prove but it goes like this: Reddit conglomerate is trying to incentivize investment (I heard a while back they want to go public), so they want people who have been blocked from subs to create new accounts to artificially boost their “new” user counts.

The only real solution for social media platforms is sane moderation. Any site that attempted to spin off from Reddit has been wrecked by nutty conservatives because they all just believe random tabloids.
