DS9 does get dark, but its message about religions generally wouldn't vibe with most peoples. The religious figures were pretty evil and the gods were just manipulative aliens. It's not nearly as left wing as the others, but it still holds that the utopia is something to be strived for. You also have some of the most queer stuff and they address racial and economic justice issues head on like when they go back in time (pick either the Sci Fi writer episode or the poor riots episodes). Also, you know, Black captain. There's no way that DS9 isn't woke.
