Comment on: Banned from r/politics for expressing opinion
A lot of political subs have no interest in free speech. And a lot of supposedly left-wing subs now openly flair their posts and have a moderation policy in the style of r/The_Donald, i.e. no dissent. I got banned from r/centerleftpolitics for saying that I thought Bernie had a better chance of winning the presidency than Klobuchar. And I'm not even a Bernie supporter!

There isn't a problem at all, this isn't my thread, I was responding to OP over why he was banned, and the standards on that sub in terms of it being a 24/7 Trump rally based on what I know having been banned there myself.
Also, yes, seeing as you mention it, many of the liberal subs on here have no interest in free exchange of ideas between Trumpers and anti-Trumpers, either.
As someone in the middle—a liberal, but not an SJW, and not a Trump supporter, either—it's getting really fatiguing.

Dude, read the rules in their sidebar.
"Rule 6: This forum is for Trump supporters only. If you have questions about our president, our way of thinking or other discussion question, post on r/AskThe_Donald, where we will gladly answer. "
This is what I was banned for, per the mod who banned me.
They do not let leftists post comments, even if they are completely civil. Their goal for the sub is a 24/7 Trump rally, that is what the mod explicitly told me when I asked for clarification.
What's more I am completely fine with this. I intentionally broke the rules, knowing it would probably lead to me getting banned, and lo and behold I got banned.

It wasn't a brigade. The mods were pretty chill about it, they said they appreciated my honesty and told me if you ever want to get on board with supporting Trump let us know and we'll unban you. I am not a Trump supporter, and I don't ever see myself becoming one, so I just left it at that.

I was very civil, actually. Why would I not be? My comments were all heavily upvoted, because I started the discussion admitting Trump is right about an issue (Syria withdrawal). The discussion was about liberals and leftists now being in favour of war because Trump wanted to withdraw from Syria, and I interjected to say no I am a liberal and I agree with Trump on this one issue, and I'm not going to disagree with him just because he is Trump. Still got banned, but technically I was in violation of their rules, because I am not a Trump supporter.
