They are, but the biggest threat to democracy is democracy itself. Election through popular vote is naturally flawed because it reflects the majority opinion, and the majority of people are easily fooled and manipulated. Big corporations like Twitter and Facebook can easily sway public opinion, and the Democratic and Republican parties can too.

Most cars run on gasoline, which is highly flammable, so why are people allowed to smoke in them? The hindenburg disaster happened because they were using massive amounts of hydrogen to keep a blimp in the air, which is a completely different use case.

Comment on: Windows XP source code leaked online, on 4chan, out of all places
I'm uncertain about anything in the list being worth anything. If they got the DirectX and Direct3D libraries, it could potentially allow the community to port them over to Linux and improve the Linux gaming scene.
