You make a lot of money. But you never relax. You work long hours, plus you have deadlines, and there's no hiding from your mistakes - if your program doesn't work, everyone will know about it.
You want to make same or more money? Be a plumber or an electrician or an HVAC repairman.

I'm not an Apple developer by trade, or even a programmer. But this seemed obvious to me. Why couldn't Apple, in an isolated laboratory environment, take an older, insecure OS, edit it to give it a higher version number than what's on this one phone, and push the update? Why wouldn't that unlock the phone?
You can debug & test your code all you want. You can have teams of testers. Once your code gets in the hands of users, they're going to find bugs. Does that bother you? If so, coding may not be for you.
Let's add some pressure. Suppose you work in healthcare. Suppose your code could impact patient health. Would you still be happy with your career choice? Some people would be fine, some wouldn't. There's a lot of variables that can make your career choice not so "cool & fun". Go in with your eyes wide open.
Programmers work under a lot of pressure. The pay is good, yes. But you work long hours. You'll have non-technical managers setting your deadlines. And depending on the industry that employs you, you'll work on call as well.
But all of this is moot. If you enjoy programming, then by all means do it. It's very hard to figure out what you love to do - when you do, make a career out of it.
