Comment on: A case of censorship and false narrative in r/conspiracy. Or, The Tale of Moderator Bias.
That's not just an abuse of power, brigading is against terms of service. That means false claims cause a serious response. A mod should never claim that in absolute, and should certainly consider whether their just the minority opinion.

What's mind boggling to me, is that seemed like a very respectful discussion.
So simply the topic caused deleting? I don't bother worrying about comments that don't make sense. I simply assume the mod got another mod or a friend to comment.

I agree it's disappointing. I've haven't experienced this in the subreddit you just experienced, but I have experienced it.
We should be able to disagree. We should be able to discuss why we disagree. In retrospect I feel another mod should have gotten involved. While I don't believe in self censorship, I certainly think a separate mod could have asked you to choose a synonym or something.

What's worse is, this issue has been brought to the users attention. That means they are choosing to be in that bubble.

That implies those of us that take issue with the censorship are older and wiser 😜!

What I want to know is, as a mod why didn't ~~they just scratch out the errors~~?
Let's be optimistic and say you taught them something new. Why can't new information be accepted without there being discord? That isn't to say it shouldn't be vetted, but information especially by a mod should hold value.
It makes more sense to me, to wonder where these two sides differ and what the point to this could be. Instead of the information being discussed we have our own r/subredditdrama (no offense meant)

I feel like the immense number of bans and muting is trying to train users to self sensor.
But don't do it. Idk who said this quote I have it written on a card and hung up. I believe part of it is from the book," FUCK" Word Taboo and the First Amendment
#words have power!
Words control thought, thoughts control feelings. Allowing yourself to be censored literally allows yourself to be controlled!

I thought it was more their safe space. Because they don't even allow a discussion. There's no weighing of pros or cons, usually very little or poor explaining, and always deleting the opposition.
It's disturbing. Making mistakes is how we learn. Asking questions and learning from other people's mistakes can be both educational and fun. That subreddit is like a reality show.

If you don't want users to come, perhaps you shouldn't mention them in a way that calls them?

I was banned from there a while ago for telling people to go to r/amifreetogo
They told me they didn't want my bias opinion there.

Wrong again. But keep going down the rabbit hole. I've commented on many things you can call me all of them if you'd like.

The r/bestoflegaladvice is a discussion about a discussion. Totally gets turned into malicious gossip by the mods.
When a mod gets rediculous on a power trip, it ruins their value and credibility when they're actually correct.

It's for entertainment purposes only. You get banned there if you even suggest a crosspost. They seem to want to keep their audience.

If you think of the name let me know. I'm curious. I am of the opinion the SJW mentality can't stay around long because the SJW's don't actually want the attention on the cause. That would take the attention from them.

It's not the arts that did it. ( insert Coralation /causation diatribe) idk what caused it but I was a liberal arts major and I don't give two shits for touchy feely bullshit.

But that's sad. You don't have to like something to try and learn about it. Honestly, not like omg something means you really need to learn more about it.

Isn't this exactly why they created the antitheism flair? There are many people that don't like many things about many religions. Discussion can still be civil.

That's exactly how the mods at r/legaladvice act! They're jerks.
