There's even fake memory with no chips and just the lights so you can fill the empty slots

APU is also technically an AMD term, Intel usually just calls them all CPUs since a lot of them have basic on-board GPUs anyway, APUs are actually somewhat decent though

Comment on: Apple’s Tim Cook: Sideloading is “not in the best interests of the user”
Exactly, I would hate being forced to use my phone in a way defined by someone else

I haven't actually installed any third-party apps yet, but as a developer it'll definitely come in handy if I try to make any apps
Overall, I prefer android for the freedom of customisation (I like custom home menus and icon packs) and the fact that the phones that support it are much cheaper - no way am I paying at least 600 for a phone that's only built to last a couple years at most

Comment on: Humanity wastes about 500 years per day on CAPTCHAs
I had to do one the other day where it showed you 6 images of cartoon dartboards, and you had to click on the one where the darts added to 16, like this:

If you didn't do it fast enough, you had to start again:

I found it quite difficult to do it accurately within the time limit, especially when it wanted me to do it 20 times:

And even after I had done all 20 and I was sure I did them all right, it told me I was wrong:

Absolutely ridiculous.

Comment on: LG will shut down smartphone business in July to focus on smart home, robotics
It's a shame, there needs to be as much competition to Apple and Samsung as possible. Even if they do make good phones, consumers need choice and the market shouldn't be dominated by one or two companies

Comment on: The days of the Hackintosh project are numbered.
If anyone did make motherboards for it, there wouldn't be many of them lol, hackintoshing is quite a niche market and they would probably be very expensive

Even if they did sell their ARM chips separately, not only would they charge you a shit ton, but there also wouldn't be hardware (motherboards, etc) that would support it
