Sure bud. All the hard evidence is out of context and we're all fools for believing that over your word. Do you even hear yourself? In what world is someone convinced by that argument?

Please son. If you're going to argue that the mods do not selectively enforce the rules of that sub you're going to have a bad time. All you have to do is search google for "/r/worldnews censorship" and you get hundreds of screencaps. They do what they want and interpret the rules as they like, which happen to also align with their politics. I don't have a problem with mods shilling for a party or ideology when they're forthright about it. But don't piss on my back and try to tell me it's just rain.

Yet the mods don't have a problem with folks who break the "no US news" rule when it's an anti-trump article.

This is supposed to be against reddit rules. But like most rules on this site, they are enforced arbitrarily.

He offered an explanation in either that sub or the one posted in T_D (I don't remember which). There's a lot of opinions on the subject and I'm not sure who is right.

The mods of /r/dataisbeautiful first removed it for not being "OC" (it was), then they gave some kind of half-assed reason about brigading I think. It all smelled like an overt attempt to remove content because it rustled someone's jimmies. It's a shame too, because the guy was really courteous and a good sport about the whole thing. You could kind of tell it got to him because he said he messaged the mods about lifting his ban and they muted him for 72 hours without even giving a reply.

There was a guy who got banned from /r/dataisbeautiful yesterday for showing statistical proof that one of these posts was elevated to /r/all through the use of bots.

There's something fishy going on in that sub and in the news sub. I got called a "white nationalist" and bigot several times yesterday just because my comment floated to the top in a front page article.

Mods didn't want an honest conversation. They only want comments which didn't challenge their biases.
