Yeah, don't stoop. It seems many do out if mimetic desire. That's how we end up with a deluded society. Better to look inward. It seems they are doing it as an unethical form of rhetoric (directly censoring people and potentially creating a chilling effect). Perhaps it's from sense of a need to control (may be common in developmentally disabled Reddit powermods) and/or intentionally (and most likely delusionally) trying to control a collective narrative.

It should be against the TOS to automatically ban people with bots for participating in other subs.
