Comment on: Is the AMD 5950x a paper launch?
I think a lot of it is the yield. It's easy to get the medium to low end parts but the chips to make these higher end CPUs and GPUs are less likely to be produced. This is my guess. I think we're also at an economic position where more people have the money to drop on these higher end parts than I'm the last.

Comment on: Comcast to impose home internet data cap of 1.2TB in more than a dozen US states next year
In my part of Texas Time Warner Cable was notorious for over selling their service. You'd pay for "up to 20Mbps" but were lucky if you got 8Mbps. People started switching in mass to Centurylink. It didn't take long before TWC fixed their shit. I'm paying for 400Mbps and now get 500Mbps. It can be done, the question is how soon will Comcast forget.... because that company needs to burn to the ground.

Yeah it's funny how people over on R seem to get a boner for wind turbines and say that our current power is destroying wildlife. However if you point out that these turbines destroy ecosystems and kill a lot of endangered birds they suddenly stop caring about the wildlife and say shit like "it's just a few birds."
