I don't understand why this is such a taboo topic. * There's no willingness to quantify a death in terms of "years of life lost" * There's no willingness to discuss unintended consequences such as suicide, foregoing preventative care, various negative impacts from unemployment, various mental health issues, etc. * There's little willingness to discuss what actually is/isn't risky behavior.

Comment on: Mods over at r/science steering away at the narrative
And wouldn't a scientific answer be that that there are a range of positions on the matter. I would think most people agree that a cop should not use a knee to restrain, choke, and kill a person who is not an immediate threat. However, I'm sure people will not agree across the board as to when lethal force is OK, or what are the societal causes of cops killing people. If you get into specific cases, something having nothing to do with the victim or cop might play a role.

Comment on: NFL sub locks a post after all the highly-upvoted replies go against the agenda
In his last year he had a game where he played 3 quarters and only had 5 yards passing, a new record low. His stats for the year looked OK , but it was mostly from stat padding when the Niners were down by 2 or more scores. Lots of short passes versus soft coverage.
