The OP was criticizing the meme itself and accused them of being conservative, he could have been banned for challenging the meme itself and not just blindly clapping along like a seal which is what some Reddit subs want. The very far left have huge disdain for the west and so anything that criticizes western leaders (there are both Republican and Democrat leaders here) or the west in general is good, there are far left people who support Russia simply because Russia challenges western global influence.

Nope. I made the mistake of assuming that lol. You get banned for criticizing the North Korean government or North Korea itself and are only allowed to post positive things about NK or ask genuine questions about moving there. A lot of people post serious sounding posts but in a joking way, like basically making clear propaganda but in a clear “this is over the top propaganda” kind of way because that’s the closest you can come to actually shitting on NK

Someone made a comment about North Korean cuisine and I jokingly said “It’s people I tell you!” That was enough. I didn’t realize at the time the sun mods actually take the sub seriously and promote moving to NK and heavily regulate any criticism of the NK government…. Actually very fitting for a NK sub
