Comment on: Banned sitewide for posting a pic of playing cards
I'm not saying it's bad that it's reaching- I even pointed out that it probably was just enough off the mark to avoid backlash. I'm pointing out that the average person not in the weeds of specifics about Chinese domestic and foreign policy will be significantly less likely to associate Tiennanmen Sq with AKs versus, say, tanks. I'm not against the post or the protest, idk what you think you're arguing here.

Tanks are why people recognize this specific incident, not aks. It's reaching.

AKs didn't turn college protesters into bloody smears on the pavement is my point- AK47 doesn't make as much sense as the date. Only connection that makes sense is AKs are commonly used by commies, which again is reaching. Probably why this lad didn't disappear, tbf. Just enough deniability.

What's the AK47? I thought it was tanks? Stand-in for communists I guess?

Comment on: /r/California mod spreads COVID misinformation and secretly censors users who use high quality scientific citations to debunk him. The mod seems to get off on manipulating/controlling thousands of people.
Because they're incapable of understanding that they way they're voting is what's actively making things around them worse. So, they leave, vote for the same kinds of policies instead of surveying the political landscape and learning why things work how they do where they do. See: any major metropolitan area in a primarily red state, most notably Austin vs the rest of Texas. Edit: also wanna add this is a complaint from even other liberals from, for example, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, the list goes on. The trope of "Californians are ruining my state" is 100% a real thing.

Comment on: LockdownSkepticism and NoNewNormal don't show up in your feed after you subscribe to them.
Japan didn't lock down- why didn't, say, Tokyo become a covid hotbed if lockdowns are the difference between doing well and doing poorly? There even were cases early on in Japan, why didn't it spiral out of control considering they didn't lock down? Is it possible that other measures are just as effective as a complete and total lockdown while doing significantly less collateral damage? What about South Carolina? No lockdown, experienced cases, is doing MILES better than states that did lock down like for example New York. Is it possible that the lockdown has more downsides than it does upsides considering its effectiveness is demonstrably inconsistent or at the very least reasonable to question?

See but they didn't literally shoot you in broad daylight in front of the state Marshall and his entire fleet of chiefs across the state therefore it all could have just been avoided by just not being a biggot. Just like the mob telling you how much of a shame it is that your shop burned down mysteriously while reiterating the importance of paying your protection money next time.

When it's harassment to the point of putting someone's livelihood in jepordy (ex. ruining their career) you've moved beyond just words. I agree that if it had just stayed online and had no greater consequences beyond her directly, that would be her just not being able to handle people. Actually DOING something or pushing for action to be taken simply because you don't like a personal decision they made about their own body is different than just spewing words at someone. Again, I never claimed it was 100% at the feet of these people but to deny their hand in it here is just ignorant of reality.

Mmmmmmmmm they basically ruined her career with that brigading, I think it's fair to call this a solid factor in her untimely demise.

And we come full circle- feminism and progressivism using online bullying as a medium with which to slut shame an adult actress for making a choice with her own body *by choosing not to sleep with someone* and exercise her right to consensual acts with her own body untill she kills herself, then proceeds to act as though they've done nothing wrong. It's disgusting.

Not really any other way to interpret this given their opposition to conversation to defeat said notion.

> While he may have been correct in the past, that isn't so much the case now. White people can 100% experience racism today. Example of when it wasn't possible to be racist to white people?
