This is a different situation than FPH. FPH was a niche subreddit that hardly anyone knew or cared about outside of Reddit. Banning a subreddit for the President of the United States will get plenty of press and it *will* come across as Reddit playing politics. That's not good for business. FPH could be justified as banning a bunch of assholes. Whether or not you like Trump doesn't matter, this touches on politics and someone every American knows. Further, The_Donald is considerably larger than FPH. If the shitstorm comes, it will be ugly. It doesn't have to be revolutionary or unique to be effective.

Everyone can agree on those. The issue is that the rules are applied unfairly. Go look at shitredditsays. The rules are not applied to them. The admins actually encourage SRS. When rules are applied to some people and not to others, there's going to be a problem.
