When I say "critical" I mean, stay critical - use your ciritical thinking skills. You should always be a little critical of the things you take in just to evaluate if you are being lied to or not. The destansitioners on /detrans are mostly just sharing their stories about how they feel they were encouraged to transition because of social pressures, and about how many of them feel like they have made major mistakes listening to others. They share about how their friend groups turn on them and demonize them the moment they decide they aren't trans. It really highlights the toxic elements that are wrong in that community - it's not about people trying to ban anything. Give it a read-though. As for propaganda - there's a lot of it floating around these days and it's intent is to shape your views in more ways than I can count. Be aware of what you are looking at and how it's trying to influence you - compare it to things you know to be true and look at your foundational beliefs.

If you are going to be extremely critical of people's views because you don't like where they are coming from, then you'll never be able to see the whole situation. Look at the situation with some empathy and be aware of the propaganda that you've likely internalized as truth.

They ARE the national animal of Scotland. The proof in my statement is in the statements of that now deleted subreddit. Go over to r/detrans and see all the hate that people get for deciding they aren't trans. Ask my bestie about how dating as a lesbian is when you aren't interested in biological men - about the death threats she gets when she turns people down and about how she's been banned from platforms for having a prefrence. Ask all the people on gendercritical what it's like to try and stand up for women-only spaces. There's nothing wrong with not automatically taking one person's word for something - but there are many, many people out there saying the same thing. The only problem is - Reddit tends to ban those places so folks like you don't GET to see their points of view.

That's some grade A empathy there. Is this the sort of person you really want to be - someone who laughs at the suffering of others? I hope you get more kindness than you give out, and that may some day soften your heart.

Trans people usually aren't the problem, but the toxic "trans community" often is.

One of my best friends is a lesbian woman who finds it almost impossible to date. She says that 9 out of 10 lesbian women on dating sites/apps are biologically men. She's got no interest in biological men. Yet if she puts "cis women only please" she gets death threats and has been banned from the app. That's rape by coercion. She should be allowed to choose who she wishes to date - not have it forced upon her.

No, but many DO rape by coercion. "fuck me or else you are a transphobe who's gonna get canceled" or as many of them are fond of saying "choke on my girl dick" is rape. Not all trans people engage in this - but that's not the whole point of superstraights. They are born with who they are attracted to and they shouldn't have to suffer for that.
