Fair enough, those are significant numbers and gives a clearer picture of the situation. I would agree that reddit wouldn't die from losing the donald, I think that's giving it too much credit. That being said, it's userbase is very active, has a lot of members that exclusively browse that subreddit and no others, and that a large number of reddit's users are lurkers with no account. Some people from the donald think they have the leverage in this situation though and in my opinion they are dead wrong

I don't understand how it's a problem for there to be ONE pro-trump safespace, when there are like A HUNDRED anti-trump safespaces. I browse the donald all the time and wouldn't say any of those adjectives describe the users there, they are easy insults to just throw out there without any evidence because you are lazy. edit: avid followers of politics are like sports fans, if you go into a rival team's group and trying to start shitting on their team they are gonna kick you out, let them have a spot and just stay away from them. the donald isnt trying to get rid of all the anti-trump subs but they all can't stand the donald, it's not a default sub, they even added an option to not show up on your front page.

Trump supporters are still here though.. 3 routes that I see this potentially going. 1. The donald comes back and they are all pissed at the admins 2. They make a new donald, and see if the old rules will be imposed on the new subreddit 3. They go the route of the anti-trump people, and have like 50 subs that all have the same userbase

Every political subreddit does that.. you should see the reasons that people get banned from other political subreddits. When you are a mod of a subreddit there's very little risk in banning random users that make a troll comment, and trolls make themselves apparent pretty quickly. The donald users get banned from politics, politics users get banned from the donald, that's just how things naturally run on this site
