Comment on: Why reddit was once an Open Source site, but no longer is.
Well, the answer is obvious. They 1) don't want competitors, and 2) stealth advertising is a part of their business model.

What's strange is the inconsistency in values. When a woman has a baby inside her she's allowed to abort it because, "My body, my my choice." But if a woman refuses to have sex with someone (the reason really doesn't matter) she is a scumbag?

You're only a part of the community, if you do exactly what they say.

Comment on: Take a moment to enjoy the hypocrisy of reddit. They're advertising battleforthenet.com who's main mantra is to ensure that companies don't control what we see on the internet.
Well, this is how people are. "Do as I say, not as I do!"

A lot of people do this to hide their true nature; they take the opposite stance to what they are. I remember when I was in high school, me, and my friend saw our classmate steal someone's CD player. And then when the vitcim of the theft noticed what happened, our classmate was more than happy to help, and was extremely vocal about it. So, the thief was the most "helpful" person there. He didn't get in trouble though because neither me, nor my friend reported our thieving classmate. He was a year older than us, and way bigger, so, I dunno, we pussed out.
