USB3 drive caddy and SSD for performance. if you want prebuilt look for something western digital. i would stay away from seagate with their failure rates

gee if only they hadn't released KungFlu on the world then maybe this would have been possible. actions have consequences and good for the EU stepping up for once and doing the right thing

I kind of like the idea when I am working at home and no one else is here. I do miss the noise in the office. The distractions are welcome at times

Comment on: New Jersey needs volunteers who know COBOL, a 60-year-old programming language
Not that easy. For what it's used for in most cases it's hard to beat and the systems that it runs on tend to be pretty damn bulletproof.
In theory I agree with you but I have worked In places that attempted to do what you are suggesting and in each case it failed big time

Tbh I am a pretty a-political, although very political person, with that I mean I don't give a shit about what others believe in and don't preach about my believes either (profile pic doesn't have much to do with them xD) but I find every opinion very interesting and therefore think it's very sad that media companies try to sensor political content that does not align with their agenda...

With all the banking infrastructure in the north east that shouldn't be too hard to find them. Heck many hospitals still have mainframes for revenue cycle tasks and cobol is used.

in this case i think it may have been with the right intentions, but blatantly de-funding and removing conservative viewpoints, or anything exposing democrat corruption is another story. that borders on election meddling in my eyes and needs to be seriously scrutinized

Although I believe that what they are doing is being done with the right intentions, I still don't think it's right, because if they ban relatively harmless content, which contains false information it's basically the same as banning for example shitposters or as has been said before flatearthers and such and I don't think it's right to do that.
But its their website and they can do whatever they want there's no way to stopping them. Even if people would stand up for those communities the majority of the users wouldn't care and they'd just keep on going.

Hurt them in the wallet is the only thing they understand really. As long as that does not happen and there is no government oversight they will continue with their shit. And so far the us gov't is Not doing shit .
And yes I was born and raised in the USA and damn proud of it. I have also seen first hand the power and manipulation of google , Facebook and Reddit with Trump and guess what? We the American people still beat their asses as well as the corrupt establishment to get him elected

Comment on: SoftBank’s $375 Million Bet on Pizza Went Really Bad Really Fast
This was an interesting read. Doesn't sound like a bust. They have trademarks for automated pizza delivery which is very valuable. Also Softbank only invested 100mil according to the article and considering how much total is in their portfolio, this really won't hurt them that much. But I get the title is used to draw in readers.

Comment on: We're entering the age of human + machine; Walmart stores will soon be home to inventory robots
So it wanders the aisles looking for empty slots so that employees know what needs restocking. That way the item can be restocked sooner, since otherwise an alert might not be generated until the last few items are cashed out at the register (or not at all, in the case of theft.)
Unfortunately it's only a matter of time before people start knocking them over (or stealing them) for shits and giggles.

The car is playing a movie on the dashboard. I don't know who thought that would be a good idea. Someone is going to get crashed into by this car and then sue Sony for distracting the other driver.
