Rubbish. Have another read. I don't see anything unusual for that sub. They always remove any comments that aren't pertinent to the scientific discussion at hand. Any jokes, reddit insights, questions about why things are deleted items, etc get deleted.
Far as I could tell 100% of the deleted items broke rule #1.
