I don't know, people said that about banning FPH too, but it wasn't true. Fat hate posts used to regularly make the front page, and now they're practically not seen at all. The ban didn't simply spread FPH-style content and activity to Reddit at large, as critics speculated; it suppressed it quite effectively.
