There will be active efforts to instill FUD among the testers. FUD will spread like wildfire and suddenly your manager will come asking what the problem is when there is none.
Keep tight control on your analysts, and don't let the drama queens wander the test center at the beginning of UAT.

Exactly. They bitch because there are bugs in the deliverable, but won't approve the go ahead until you've cut ETAs down into the marrow.
Then you try and do good by upping the quality by testing/building better test cases and fully regression test each change. Then they bitch because it takes too long.
And it's not like we're talking the differences between weeks and months here. We are talking about the difference between 3 and 5 days.
I've gotten to the point where I build to their shitty half assed spec. I don't argue or comment on how out of touch it is. And when it goes to shit in production--blame the fuck out of the business for not testing. Fuck them. Fuck them deep and long.
