Comment on: Introducing Windows 11 - YouTube
Definitely pursue where you make your money to specialize skills in. Linux has come so far that today I've been able to migrate exclusively to that environment for productive work. Worth shaking on every now and again and see if it's come far enough.

The cyberpunk future is here. Each child needs education in sufficient hacking skills to jailbreak products and put them to reasonable usage. Make America a manufacturing center for open source off the cloud products.

Windows XP was the last operating system they offered. It's an app service since then. Have some self-respect and fire them. Linux and virtualbox when the rare special case is needed.

Comment on: After update, only 4 percent of iOS users in U.S. let apps track them
In early internet history a company Net Zero offered freeish internet service in exchange for pervasive tracking. Users said HA HA HA HA HA fuck you. And the service ended. Our tech cartels used the same model. And hid the tracking. Facebook is notorious for bait-and-switch. Create section of service with a privacy setting. Collect mass data of that category. Then revise terms and conditions exposing all that data. Oh the awkward photos exposed. Then there's when photos of *you* are shown to other parties to tag them as a user verification method. *You* didn't authorize identifying your face. *You* may have even purposefully mis-trained photos of yourself as other people to screw up their data. That's not informed consent. The domestic spying scandal went nuclear. The tech cartel went AH SHIT AH SHIT AH SHIT and settled on bots spamming "I have nothing to hide" to modify behavior toward accepting the only thing that makes their service profitable. Surveillance capitalism. The answer is bespoke tech services with a localized economy scope. The cyberpunk dystopia future is here. Hack your tech.

Comment on: android sends 20x more data to google than ios sends to apple, study says
Linux phones librem-5 and pinephone started to ship the last few months. Riding that inconvenience of existing OS options to drive development for minimalist replacement apps in those environments is the most compelling path forward.
