That's for a regular spinning rust drive, not an NVMe drive. The new drives are expensive, yes, but not by a big margin.

Quadros aren't meant for playing your vidya at 4k and 144fps. They're designed for incredibly heavy work and new upcoming tech like deep learning and AI (not sure if they'll really be worth it but Nvidia is pushing them). If Quadros weren't profitable for NVidia, then they wouldn't exist.
