As someone who's been interested in learning to program as a hobby. What are certain languages best or worst at? I started with C# just because my dad had the book already, what are the pros and cons for it?

cd means change directory. It's a command line command used to change directories. It had nothing to do with programming.

The top part of her screen is a small program though. It looks like a ruby program, but I'm not sure. I'm just starting to learn, but someone else can probably tell you what that bit is.
