Comment on: Only 36% of Indian engineers can write compilable code: study

Two things make me suspicious of the entire study:

  1. I can't track down the actual task that they were asked to perform.

  2. The grading is unusual, done by a machine. "Compiles" gives partial credit even if the program has nothing to do with the task.
