As a Dev myself, I completely agree - if I say a bit of code is retarded, I don't mean that the person who wrote it has mental disabilities, I mean that the code is poor, that it does it's job in an inefficient or nonsensical way.

It's funny that a site dedicated to programming projects is run by people who don't understand what "equal" means.
If it has trouble with fast tempo, is it not possible for it to slow down the track for analysis (making a record of how much it slows it down by) then as a second-pass speed up the result?
I'm quite a noob when it comes to musical theory, so that might be a silly question.
