JavaScript, weirdly enough. When it was pointed out that anything you use function () { ... }, its really just an anonymous function, lambdas in Python, Java, etc. just started making sense.

In my experience, Python/Django moves much more slowly, and any changes that are implemented are very deliberate. While this means you won't get a certain feature immediately, when it does arrive, it will be completely fleshed out and perform well.
I'm fine with the content, but I agree that this isn't the proper subverse for this discussion. We should be talking about companies like Github, especially if they're going off the rails (which clearly they have been overstepping some boundaries), but /v/programming is not the place for that discussion.
