I tried codeacademy for python, but didn't get along with it - IME there was not much in the way of thinking for yourself. I didn't get much out of it and gave up very quickly.
I'm now halfway through the 6.0001x Introduction to python course with edX (MITx) and am actually learning a hell of a lot, very quickly.
