I'm assuming this also means more control over which extensions will be "allowed". To block those by dissidents and the like.

Comment on: Apple, Mozilla, Google and Microsoft will standardize browser extensions
The experience has gone south. 89.0.1 randomly hangs on Linux when switching tabs, with YT in the background. Randomly crashes on Android when using Private Browsing. Stability has vanished.
However, I'm stuck. Brave's business model is ethically black, and concentrates too much power in one spot. Most other browsers use Chromium, which ruined extensions and will probably die when Mozilla dies. Mozilla is disappearing their talent and therefore destroying the product over political nonsense. Caught in a Catch 33.

That’s probably a welcome side effect. If any old dickhole could buy a $20 electronics kit and teach themselves programming, then people might start finding their way out of the working class and we can’t have that.
This is the golden age of single board computers and the timing for this couldn’t be any more suspicious.

Comment on: Intel reiterates chip supply shortages could last several years
In the last year I've been playing with ESP32 (and a bit of less powerful ESP8266) microcontrollers. With two 32bit CPU cores, 520 kB of RAM and 4 MB of flash storage it has enough of power for plenty of things but one has to constantly think about staying within the limits of the platform and programming this thing is both challenging and enjoyable. The IT world has relied on fast advancement of HW and programmers deteriorated into coders and search agents for Stack Overflow.

No joke. Every vendor call relating to performance inevitably ends with "just throw more resources at the server".
I shouldn't need 12cpus and 64gb of ram for a 1tb logging server.

I, for one, welcome this. I hope this lasts for many years and drives the price of silicon exponentially.
Maybe we would see the end of incompetent programmers who rather add 96 more CPU cores and 1 TB of RAM instead of writing a more efficient algorithm. We'd see fewer frameworks that load 2.5 GB of libraries just to print Hello World! Maybe Java would fuck off to hell where it belongs. So many positives.

It is long so here is the TLDW
Make sure your extension cords and power strips aren't cheap bullshit with 16 AWG wire and no fuse, because often they are connected to 15A (14 AWG wire) and 20A (12AWG) circuits in a residence. Smaller number, larger wire and capacity. Too much power could draw through to a 16 AWG cord and cause a fire.
Be cognizant of what you plug into extension cords and power strips so you don't burn your house down.

idk. the main thing about AI that worries me is human biology. I don't like all of this tinkering with the human code. perhaps, though, people felt the same way about medicines and vaccines and blood transfusions. idk. I think evolution knew what it was doing - for the most part- and that when humans ('experts') try to improve upon nature, they usually end up doing really bad things that have long lasting repercussions.
As far as AI replacing most humans, I think the people at top may be too into their egos to do that. Ego requires that someone be below you in order to remind you of how great you are. Ego has been with mankind since we were apes, so I don't see ego (greed, vanity, and all that goes with it) disappearing anytime soon.

The government is not by the people, of the people, or for the people. Not since the end of the experiment with the Civil War. Any attention they give to something comes with crushing meddling in other parts of the thing you don't want them touching. Cryptocurrency is free game, and people can do and say whatever they want.
