This sucks. The most consistent null I know is SQL's null, which seems to represent "unknown". unknown >=0 is unknown. SQL works that way. This weirdness all comes from asserting a known value when the value is actually unknown.

Yea, I prefer to have all of my business and whereabouts logged at all times. Sometimes I pop in at Starbucks with my credit card just as a way to check in with the authorities. It would suck not to be able prove my innocence if something happened across town.
