Comment on: Flat UI Sucks

No and the office "ribbon" bullshit is still retarded nearly 10 years on.

Yeah but the programmers worked really hard to learn how to set the default border on the button to "off," so now they're going to insist on proving it to you rather than learning something useful.

Comment on: Sex joke gets a React Week 2019 Conference boycotted, new CoC developed to "protect" participants

I fully expect to lose a couple jobs in my lifetime due to refusal to play along with the tranny delusion. I made this decision the first time I encountered one, and I'm OK with the consequences.

I say things like "guys" or "yeah dude" when speaking to actual females anyway, so there's no way I won't end up in trouble for this shit on a long enough time scale.

His response leaves a lot to be desired. The correct response is to point out what you have but leave it open. How is it sexist?

Then the killshot, how do you know I wasn't talking about gay sex?

Don't use your own name when making any unprofessional statement online.

Say whatever you want in person. These people don't venture out into the real world, and if someone does start yelling SJW buzzwords at you, you can shut them down easily by pointing out the things they are saying don't make sense then treating them like children if they continue.

Comment on: Oracle Java sucks.

Whoever came up with not assigning a minor release number is getting a big bonus for "bug-free code"!

This has to be some new project management thing, Microsoft does it too. What the fuck is a 1709? 1834? Year/week of build I guess, but why even have all these different builds maintained in parallel?

Do this and write a book on it.

If they believe adding 203 spaces equates to 480 hours of work, I'll happily bill them that many hours even if it only took an hour to find 203 whitespace "mistakes" with a regular expression.

It's 203 whitespace changes for 5000 bucks, they don't have to know how long it took.

Comment on: Core Debian developer summarily banned from project for referring to a transgender person with a non-approved pronoun

Wow, did you read the blog they were referring to? He didn't even say anything controversial either.

They are generic prefixes used in chemistry. They were probably appropriated in order to make a guy pretending to be a gal sound more "scientific."
